Boracay Get Away

Boracay is famous for its white sand beaches, magnanimous and evocative all-night long parties, and the unending shopping for island life frills and accessories. More so, Boracay is a beach line with luxurious hotels, classy and cozy restaurants, superbly mind-blowing party venues, and transcending bars along the shores where you could go clubbing all week long. And on top of that, it is where we find the most varieties of island get-away gimiks, tripings and sporting activities.

Boracay
is a tropical island located approximately 31
5km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak (3 of the 17 barangays which make up the municipality of Malay), and is under the administrative control of the Philippine Tourism Authority in coordination with the Provincial Government of Aklan.

It was a week before halloween when me and my bestfriend together with her family went to this tempting island. Indeed it was an experience of a lifetime. It was actually my second time to be there. The first one was memorable but not as striking as the second visit, with which we had a blast in the halloween party along the beaches on boracay. The place was indeed jam packed with all the fun that gets in to your mind. There were a lot of things to do for a day. You could go fishing, touring around the island, diving, snorkling, enjoy boat rides (banana, fly fish, para sailing etc) wall climing, enjoy carnival rides or simply revel in swimming the into the crystal clear waters on the beach.

The
fine white sands of the beach were caressing my toes as I stepped on bare-footed on the shore, each step was forming footsteps along the sands and I was watching my back as I see the ripples of the waves wash away the foot markings. Ahhh! island life. So relaxing.

Each morning, I wake up early to feel the cold morning breeze of the sea, and in my solitude, I close my eyes and remember all the good things in life. The picture above is my best friend kim, giving a high jump when we first took a glance at the beach line.

Mostly people would think that savoring the sweet delight of an island life in boracay is expensive, this is not always true. If you do not worry of your budget, this island offers one of the best in fine dining with its top rated cuisines along the shoreline but then when you have just enough for the vacation you can always go for a cheaper option. Along the streets of boracay (about 10 minutes walking distance from the shoreline) is a market place (they call it talipapa) where you could buy rice, fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and etc. for you too cook it the way you want it cooked. If you are worried about the kitchen utensils to use, this should not be a problem because there are cottages in the island who has a kitchen area (for rent). With this, aside from having your meals the way you wanted it, it will be budget wise and also you might enjoy cooking for your loved ones.

Not all boracay accomodations are expensive. You can choose from a variety of places to stay at. You can book yourself at expensive, luxurious hotels to simple huts/cottages that offer cheaper lodging. Aside from this you can also choose where you would want to stay in a single room or a room good for 5 people. Prices would range depending if it is peak season or not. When we had our stay there, we appreciated and savored the hospitality of joel owner of Trafalgar Boracay. He has about 7-8 cottages available. For details of his contact number and email, you may send a comment on this blog.

The halloween party experience in boracay was a blast. I was amazed with all the people around the place dressed up with different costumes! Some are weird, some are funny, some are extra-ordinary but most of them are scary (hey it's halloween! hihihihi) There was a beach shoreline party sponsored by Don Enrique's Mixkila and we enjoyed dancing with house music. The disco party was not the highlight of the events at station 2, there was a contest for the best halloween costume and those who joined in the contest were really creepy. I had goosebumps watching them as I remember the scary movies I used to watch. Here are some pictures of it...

The Boracay get away we've had was really fun. I would have wanted to stay in boracay a few days more since I have not experienced everything that the island offers. There is still much more to explore and do for fun on this island! I hope I could get another long days-off from work flew away back to this island. It's definitely a place for ecstatic fun and leisure. =)
